Classic Auto Care · Surrey, BC · Last updated: August 6, 2026
Classic Auto Care is a mobile detailing business based in Surrey, British Columbia. This page explains exactly what this website collects, why, who else sees it, and how to get it back or have it corrected. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
Because we operate in British Columbia and not Quebec, the law that governs how we handle your personal information is Canada's federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Quebec's Law 25 does not apply to us, and we make no claim under it.
The site has one form: the quote form in the "Get a quote" tab of the booking section. Nothing else on the page asks you for information. The form's fields are:
That is the complete list. We do not ask for a home address, a postal code, a date of birth, a licence plate, a VIN, or any payment details. Payment is settled in person by cash or e-Transfer once the work is done, so no card number ever passes through this website.
We use what you send to quote your job, to book it, and to do it. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not send marketing you did not ask for, and we do not sell, rent, trade or share your information with anyone for their own purposes.
We want to be straight about the current state of this site. The quote form is not yet wired to any submission service. When you press send, the page validates the fields and shows a confirmation entirely inside your own browser. Nothing is transmitted off your device, nothing reaches a server, and nothing is stored anywhere. If you close the tab, what you typed is gone.
Until the form is connected, the reliable way to reach us is the phone number or the email address at the bottom of this page.
When the form is connected, it will send your submission to a form-handling service that passes it on to our own email inbox, and this page will be updated to name that service before the change goes live. At that point the information you send will be handled exactly as described in the rest of this policy: used only to quote and schedule your work, never sold, and available to you on request. [CONFIRM: which form service will be used, so it can be named here as a processor]
This site loads no analytics and no advertising code of any kind. There is no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Meta or TikTok pixel, no session recorder, no heatmap tool, no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. That is a deliberate choice, not an oversight. We do not build a profile of you, and we have no way to follow you to another website.
This site sets no cookies. It also writes nothing to your browser's local storage or session storage, and keeps no database in your browser. We checked the site's own code for this rather than assuming it.
Your browser will still cache the page and its images on your device so that a return visit loads quickly. That is normal browser behaviour, it stays on your device, and clearing your browser cache removes it.
Two outside services are loaded by this page. Neither receives anything you type into the form. Both do see your IP address, because that is how the internet delivers a file to you.
The typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts. When your browser fetches the font files, Google receives your IP address along with the standard request details a browser sends: your browser and operating system version, and the address of the page requesting the font. Google states that it does not use these requests to profile users and does not set cookies for them. What Google does with the data is governed by its own policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
The service area section embeds a map from OpenStreetMap. It is a keyless embed, so there is no account or API key tying it to you, but when the map tiles load, the OpenStreetMap Foundation receives your IP address and the same standard request details. The map is lazy-loaded, so if you never scroll to the service area section, the request may never be made at all. Their policy: osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy.
Separately, the company that hosts this website keeps standard server logs, which typically include IP addresses, timestamps and which files were requested. This is ordinary infrastructure logging, not something we read or analyse. [CONFIRM: hosting provider to name here, and whether we should link its privacy policy]
Once the form is connected, we intend to keep an inquiry only as long as we need it: to quote the job, to do the job, and afterwards for the period required for our own records and by law, whichever is longer. We have not yet fixed that period in writing, and we would rather leave this blank than state a number we do not honour. [CONFIRM: retention period for quote inquiries and past customer records, in months or years]
You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See the next section.
The site is served over HTTPS, so everything between your browser and this website is encrypted in transit. Beyond that we take reasonable, practical steps for a small business: access to inquiries is limited to the people who actually do the work and the scheduling, and we do not copy customer details into places they do not need to be. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise.
PIPEDA gives you specific rights over the personal information a business holds about you. With us, those are:
To exercise any of these, email or call us using the details below and say what you want. Put "Privacy request" in the subject line if you are emailing, so it does not get mixed in with booking requests. We aim to respond within 30 days, which is the timeframe PIPEDA sets.
Privacy questions and requests are handled by the owner of the business. [CONFIRM: name and title of the person responsible for privacy requests, to be listed here]
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada: priv.gc.ca.
This is a service for vehicle owners. We do not market to children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of majority in British Columbia.
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. The two changes most likely to happen next are connecting the quote form and adding a scheduling calendar to the booking section. Both will be described here before they go live.
Any question about this page, or any request under the rights above, goes to the same place as everything else.
Classic Auto Care is a mobile business and does not operate a walk-in shop, so no street address is published. If you need to send us something in writing, ask by phone or email and we will give you an address to use. [CONFIRM: mailing address for written privacy requests, and business registration number if the client wants it listed]
